Sarah believes that working in a library is like a kid’s dream come true. It’s like being let loose in a candy shop. She is exposed to the best and some of the not-so-good books that are released each week, but still she is surrounded by books! She has been in love with libraries ALL HER LIFE!
Her favorite reads are historical novels that deal with World Wars I & II. So much history that has shaped our world and yet we seemed to keep making the same mistakes. She especially enjoys it from a woman’s perspective. All the Light we Cannot See by
Anthony Doerr has to be one of her absolute favorites along with The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
She loves to read cookbooks, gardening, home decorating and, of course, anything on beekeeping because she is a beekeeper. She enjoys writing short stories and taking care of the country she inherited from her parents. She is a fifth-generation Texan and recently has begun a genealogy sojourn.
Books she recommends: The Bakers Daughter by Sarah McCoy, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin, Girl Waits with a Gun by Amy Stewart, David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits and the Art of Battling Giants, The Paris Architect by Charles Belfoure, The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Gallbraith, Shanghai Girls by Lisa See, Dreams of Joy by Lisa See.
Favorites: e-books, downloadables, historical fiction, nonfiction, mystery, cooking.
