As reference librarian, she provides library users with direction to library materials, assists with the use of new technology and helps find information patrons need using multiple library resources. She also  oversees nonfiction collection management and development and helps students with their homework assignments.

She likes to read books that “deal with    facts and events” such as history, current events, biographies, memoirs, medical, science. She enjoys viewing movies a    great deal, especially the James Bond-type movies and science fiction movies like Star Wars and the new movie Martian.

Titles she has enjoyed reading and recommends are: Empire of the Summer Moon by S. C. Gwynne; Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand; and A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety by Jimmy Carter

She has three wonderful sons, one daughter and five grandchildren. After she received the Master of Library Science degree, the kiddos treated her to an unforgettable trip to Lugano, Switzerland, where she spent two weeks with dear friends she met years ago in Victoria, British Columbia. While in Switzerland, she had the opportunity to visit Hermann Hesse’s burial site in the cemetery of San Abbondio in Montagnola, Switzerland. She has done her share of traveling and would like to do more.
