This class is an introduction to the Pilates Method of BodyConditioning, created and continuously perfected by Joseph Pilates. Youwill learn a basic 25 exercises, all of which will lead to core strength andstabilization, simple anatomy and biomechanics, mindful movement, improvedstrength, endurance and flexibility, improved posture and balance, stressreduction, improved breathing, control, and quality of movement to improvequality of life and gracefulness, pain reduction and protection from injuries.From the basic movements, we will explore variations and additional disciplinesthat will enhance the Pilates Method.
You will need an Exercise/Yoga mat, bathtowel, head block and long strap (if you have them), drinking water.
