The library staff began offering front-porch book and movie delivery at 1 p.m. today. A half-dozen patrons were waiting in the parking lot for the event. The library has been closed because of the COVID-19 virus.

Here’s how the front-porch program works: Go to the catalog page on this website and find the book or movie you want, put it on reserve at your account. It will be ready for you to pick up the following day after 1 p.m. When you come to get the item, contact the library from the parking lot at 512-842-3054. You will be contacted when it is time for you to approach the table at the front door to pick up your items.

If you plan to return something borrowed from the library, please take it to the back door and drop the materials in the drop box there.

In photos below, Linda Eagleton, who is reference librarian, sorts through books ready for pick-up, and a patron finds his books on the outside table, already checked out to him and ready to go.
