Class registration begins on Friday at noon for the next week’s classes ONLY and closes again on Monday at noon. To register for classes, you must register between 12 pm Friday and 12 pm Monday.
HOW TO REGISTER:
1. Visit the Library’s homepage and scroll down to the Events Calendar.
2. Go to the date of the class you want to attend.
3. Click the text that says “Registration is required”
4. Fill in your information.
You should receive a confirmation from Assabet, the library’s scheduling software. Assabet will also send class reminders and a link to cancel if you need to.

SCHEDULE
October 7: Spooky Dollhouse Bookshelves – Presented by Janna Mills
Maximize your love of miniatures with our dollhouse bookshelf class! We’ll get our mini shelves all decked out for Halloween by adding spooky spiders, perky pumpkins, and scary skulls. We might even add a few toads or witch’s hats too! Come have fun with us and decorate your own miniature bookshelves.
October 14: Cowfolk Painting – Presented by Jennifer McGee
We’ll look at some fresh new takes on the western icon, The Cowboy/girl. Using gouache paint on heavy paper, we’ll create a stylized version of this subject focusing on interesting contour line, shape, and color as we modernize this cult classic.
October 21: Boo-tiful Bat Garland – Presented by Jen
October decorating starts here: paint your own wooden bat cutouts, then string them together with colorful beads for a handmade garland. It’s a simple project with a big payoff — perfect for haunting a mantel, doorway, or shelf. Come flutter on by and craft a little seasonal magic with us!
October 28: Vintage Shadow Boxes – Presented by Peggy Simmons
Create a three-dimensional collage to show off your Halloween spirit! We’ll paint wooden shadow boxes and decorate them with skulls, bones, potion bottles, toads, ephemera and more. Hang yours on your door to greet trick-or-treaters or as part of your indoor decor.
PAPER IN PERSON
Make journal pages, decorative tags and other mixed media projects using a variety of materials.

October 8: Boo! Quilled Cards – Presented by Pat Galvin
Roll it. Glue it. Love it! Turn thin paper strips into a decorative Halloween-themed card using a paper quilling technique. This is the perfect intro to paper quilling if you’ve never tried this elegant artistic craft before.
October 22: Skeleton Jumping Jacks – Presented by Jen
This October, our papercraft class takes on a Halloween classic: the paper skeleton jumping jack, with wiggly, poseable arms and legs! Come make your own charming little dancer to hang up for the season. Whether you’re a papercraft regular or joining us for the first time, this is a fun one to add to your collection.
LADIES NIGHT OUT: WITCH MAGIC WATCH PARTY

Grab your broomstick and join us for a cozy evening with two sister witches, a family curse, and the magic of sisterhood — we’ll be screening the cult-favorite adaptation of Alice Hoffman’s novel, complete with midnight margaritas and Stevie Nicks on the soundtrack. Settle in with themed mocktails and treats as we revisit this autumn classic together. Whether you can quote every line or have somehow never seen it, this is the perfect night for a little movie magic.
ADULT COOKING CLUB: WIZARDING FEAST

Join the ATC Club, meeting each month to create and swap cards together. We use watercolors, washi tape, markers, pencils and more to make tradeable 2.5″ x 3.5″ cards.

The library collection has over 200 books on craft history and hands-on craft projects from soap-making to maker technology! These books are located in the non-fiction area and are available for check-out.
