Tuesday brought a lot of people to the library to pursue activities having nothing to do with books or movies or magazines.
The latter have to do with what libraries have always done: provide quiet space for books and magazines and newspapers and, more recently, a repository of movies and databases and online services.
What brought people to the library Tuesday were programs that they themselves planned and were able to execute simply because we had space to accommodate their needs, something that’s rare in Wimberley.
Below are two photos from just two of the activities. I’ll post two more tomorrow in this space. One depicts a Master Naturalist class on Hill Country trees. And the other shows a display and table set up by the League of Women Voters to encourage and allow people to register to vote for the November elections.
