WATER WISE: FIXING LEAKS

Saturday, September 12 @ 10:30 to 12:30 – Wimberley Community Room

Registration is required. Register on our calendar of events.

Host: Salwa Khan, Mothering Earth – salwakhan@vcyes.com and Andrew Weber, President, TESPA Trinity Edwards Springs Protection Association

Speaker: Dr. Larry Sunn, RainBees

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, household leaks in the U.S. can waste nearly one trillion gallons of water every year.

The average household’s leaks can waste more than 9,000 gallons of water each year and nine percent of homes have leaks that waste 50 gallons or more per day. Common types of leaks are worn toilet flappers, dripping faucets, and leaking valves. In this session, Dr. Larry Sunn shows you common sources of leaks both inside and outside your home, and ways to fix them. Homeowners can save about 10 percent on their water bills by fixing leaks.

This event is sponsored by: City of Wimberley, City of Woodcreek, Hays County Master Naturalist, and Wimberley Village Library. / Register online or email Nomi
