IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Class registration begins on Friday at noon for the next week’s classes ONLY and closes again on Monday at noon. To register for classes, you must register between 12 pm Friday and 12 pm Monday.

HOW TO REGISTER:

1.       Visit the Library’s homepage and scroll down to the Events Calendar.

2.       Go to the date of the class you want to attend.

3.       Click the text that says “Registration is required”

4.       Fill in your information.

You should receive a confirmation from Assabet, the library’s scheduling software. Assabet will also send class reminders and a link to cancel if you need to.

APRONS FOR TEACHERS SEW-A-THON!

Join us in helping Teacher Reuse create 500 aprons by July 1st!

The library will collect and donate finished aprons that will support teachers in Hays County and beyond.

This is a drop-in time for you to bring your machine and work on the project alone or with friends. Bring your own machine and one yard each of two coordinating cotton fabrics to make an apron. We’ll provide the pattern and instructions.

SCHEDULE

June 3: Spiral Sticker Books – Presented by Jen

Build a reusable sticker book with special paper that lets you attach, remove, and rearrange stickers with ease. Design your own cover, then bind the pages with wire to create a flip-through keepsake for displaying and organizing your collection. Also a perfect gift for kids!

 

June 10: Cactus Still Life – Presented by Jennifer McGee

We’ll paint a cactus still life using oil pastel on black paper. Learn to draw your favorite cactus such as prickly pear, saguaro, or agave in full color.

 

June 17: Patriotic Stars and Stripes – Presented by Janna Mills

Create a beautiful star in patriotic colors, streaming with mixed ribbon and fabric to hang on your door for the nation’s birthday! Be prepared to paint and hot glue while you share time with your Wimberley neighbors.

 

June 24: Bag Charms – Presented by Jen

Seen at stores like Earthbound, Prada, and Kate Spade, bag charms are one of the trendiest crafts of 2026! Jump on this easy-to-make craft and customize your own bag charm without the Labubu price tag!

 

PAPER IN PERSON

Make journal pages, decorative tags and other mixed media projects using a variety of materials.

June 18: Lightup Firefly Cards – Presented by Jen

Learn how to construct a paper circuit using micro LEDs, conductive tape, and a watch battery. Then, use your circuit to light up a whimsical firefly paper pattern!

ADULT CRAFT LAB BOOK COLLECTION

The library collection has over 200 books on craft history and hands-on craft projects from soap-making to maker technology! These books are located in the non-fiction area and are available for check-out.
