An architect from MarmonMok of San Antonio shows what the finished library expansion might look like during a meeting Thursday afternoon.

The plan is for the finished building to continue to have what he called a “Hill Country” flavor with use of wood and rock as finishes. Trustees of the library district and members of the boards of the library foundation and Friends of the Library were at the meeting, and there was general agreement that the plans are headed in the right direction.

Fund-raising for the first phase, which will cost about $1.7 million, continues, of course, and will intensify as the holiday season approaches.
