The children’s department at every library has the same problem: Grandparents want their grandchildren to read the books that Grandpa and Grandma loved when they were kids; and parents want to do the same thing. So, you really can’t ever get rid of Dr. Seuss books, for example, or most of the classic Disney movies.

And the list grows with every generation of what you must have to be a “good” children’s department. So, where do you find the space for those materials PLUS new books and movies that are coming out almost daily?

Expansion of the library to make room for more children’s materials and programs is our No. 1 growth priority. Drop by about 11 a.m. on Mondays and you’ll see what I mean.
