Nearly a dozen teens are well into the breakdown and rebuild of a go-kart, a project of the library that started right when school let out for the summer. The group meets on Saturday afternoons to work on the go-kart, which will be rebuilt so it runs and moves and has new paint and upholstery. Pat Galvin, young adult librarian, is overall supervisor in charge of the program. Carroll Wilson, retired circulation librarian, and Robert Southard, a library patron with go-kart experience, are the hands-on advisers. Watch this space for updates! Here are photos from this past Saturday.
