A dog named Zippity has replaced our old friend Chopper as the great listener of children’s stories in our youth department on Monday afternoons.

Zippity comes to the library at 3:30 p.m. Mondays to listen as children read, and each session starts with a little play to familiarize the dog with the kids. Zippity’s companion adult is Sandra Balacek, who also brought Chopper as a listener.

There’s no need to sign up to read to Zippity. Just show up and get ready to read him a book or a story.
