As often happens, on Tuesday evening two community groups needed to use library space for their meetings. Ordinarily, we are closed on Tuesday nights for regular business, but we agreed to open and close for these two groups, something we will consider on a case-by-case basis.
One group was the Wimberley Rotary Club, which wanted to conduct its bingo night in our multi-purpose room. That room is the only public space we have large enough to handle this kind of event.
However, the steering committee of CARD also wanted to use some library space for a meeting at the same time on Tuesday. So, we created space for that group by moving tables and chairs around, simply trying to be accommodating.
It would be nice, though, to have space for several groups, large and small, to meet simultaneously.
